"I am writing to express my deep concern regarding Israel's participation in the Eurovision 2024 contest. I strongly believe that the State of Israel should be disqualified from this prestigious competition due to its use of propaganda against the Palestinians during their selection national and Eurovision representation. This behavior goes against the fundamental principles of Eurovision, which advocate for inclusion, diversity, and tolerance.

We cannot remain silent in the face of atrocities committed by the Israeli government. The United Nations has recognized that Israel is carrying out genocide against the Palestinians. On Dec. 29, 2023, South Africa launched a lawsuit in the International Court of Justice (World Court of the Hauge) against Israel for genocide. Furthermore, more than 400 lawyers from around the world have filed a lawsuit before the ICC did against the actions of Israel. As defenders of human rights and justice, we cannot celebrate a state that commits such crimes against humanity. Therefore, we demand that Israel be banned from the Eurovision 2024 competition.

It is also worth noting that Russia was excluded from the previous Eurovision contest due to their war actions towards Ukraine. If Eurovision took such a step to condemn the horrors committed by Russia, it is imperative to do the same towards Israel. Thank you for your attention.

This letter and petition were created in response the state of Israel's government and military. The citizens and musical artists of Israel are not responsible for the violence and destruction of their government's actions. Israel's broadcaster KAN is a product of the government and has shown specific political influences and biases in Eurovision-related material. This is beyond the artist's control as well as the civilians of Israel, meaning that action should be taken against KAN and not the people who watch their programming.
