I am reaching out with a heavy heart, as a grieving mother who has lost her ONLY beloved daughter under horrific circumstances. My daughter, Alicia Tverberg-Gonzales,  a petite 4'10" young woman, with a condition known as Klippel-Feil Syndrome, was tragically taken from us as she turned 21. She was lured by her boyfriend, a known heroin addict/dealer, into a perilous situation with his suppliers, only to meet with ultimate betrayal and an untimely death. Her trust was misplaced in  now, 27 yo Adalberto "BETO" Chavez, who was supposed to cherish and protect her, but instead, he led her directly into the hands of her murderers. Fleeing the scene.

The individuals responsible for this heinous act are far from shadows—men who stood towering at 6'0", and a very heavy woman approximately 5'8", who was also involved in the horrific assault. They are not mere unknown entities, but faces and names that can and should be held accountable for their crimes.  MARIO RAYMOND SANCHEZ (shooter by admission) , LINDSAY REGINA JENSON (identifying every step) and DAVID HOUSTON VARGAS (violent,sexual predator) robbed, kidnapped, and mercilessly murdered my daughter, committing acts of felony assault, witness tampering, and manipulating a corpse without any conscience.

The agony of not having justice for my daughter is unbearably compounded by the refusal of Adams County District Attorney Brian Mason to take appropriate legal action. Despite the clear and significant evidence pointing to their crimes, the justice system is failing by not allowing the case to be presented to a grand jury.

This petition calls for real and actionable change. We demand that District Attorney Mason fulfills his duty to protect the citizens of Adams County by allowing a grand jury to convene or by directly bringing charges against those responsible. Let them face the consequences for felony murder, illegal possession of firearms, auto theft, interfering with an investigation, robbery, and the slew of other crimes committed.

This is more than a plea for justice—it is a call for our community to ensure that no other parent endures such a loss without the hope of prosecution against those who brought about such heartache.
