Report delegate counts ONLY based on pledged delegates

Report delegate counts ONLY based on pledged delegates
The Issue
The primary contest for the Democratic Party nomination for U.S. President is ongoing. Most major media are including so-called "SuperDelegates" in the delegate count for individual candidates, despite that those individual delegates are not pledged to the candidate yet. Often, unpledged delegates express a preference without pledging, only to later pledge the candidate nominated based on results of the primary elections and caucuses across the country. Calling these unpledged delegates "SuperDelegates" is misleading. Including these unpledged delegates in the candidates' delegate totals can influence voters' decisions to contribute to campaigns, to volunteer for campaigns, and to vote, and therefore, undermines the democratic process. This can easily be resolved by major media outlets committing to reporting delegate totals only based on delegates that are ACTUALLY pledged.
