CNE - Cancel the Veal Sandwich Competition - Stop Promoting animal cruelty.

The Issue

The sight of a field full of baby calves in Ontario, confined to tiny plastic hutches and suffering in the heat, will forever be etched in my memory. They were separated from their mothers, imprisoned  and distressed.

This is a clear reflection of the cruel reality behind veal farming. That memory has since ignited a personal mission in many of us to combat the glorification of such practices, such as the competition for the 'Best Veal Sandwich' on August 17th hosted by the Canadian National Exhibition.

As attendees of the CNE, we hold the power to advocate for change by refusing to support such contests.

By choosing a stance against the Best Veal Sandwich competition, we can begin a conversation on shifting agricultural practices towards plant proteins!

This competition is being sponsored by The Food Network, and by the Ontario Veal Farmers. The hashtag they're using is #BestVealSandwich - Toronto Cow Save will be helping to flood social media with the truth about the lives of veal calves. Join us!

Let's take a stand against animal cruelty and push for the Canadian National Exhibition, and The Food Network to cancel the contest. Sign this petition to voice your support.
