Students are suffering mentally and emotionally due to Virtual and COVID-19. Some students have constant wifi issues or connection issues and aren’t able to join the zoom classes or do any work whatsoever. If the district really wants whats in the best interest of their students they should start by making it possible to give us the opportunity to have a future and we can’t get that if we have these constant issues. Some students simply can’t learn over a computer and need one on one time to be able to understand and learn the work. We want to push this petition in hopes that CMCSS hears us and shows us that they are in our best interests. This can be solved by not counting the 3rd nine weeks grades, as the whole 9 weeks have been done virtually and that has resulted in most students failing. Last year CMCSS didn’t count the 4th Nine weeks due to covid starting up. We hope that this year the district will give the students the chance to actually have a future.
