Surat has a lot of small business capital retailers, in which they can only accommodate their shop expenses (lights, rent, electricity bill, inventory purchase) and also hardly accommodate their home expenses in this time of inflation. Nowadays, it is getting difficult for them to even accommodate their household Expenses with zero monthly income. Retailers from modest income backgrounds are having a tough time in the light of the COVID-19 lockdown and crisis. Sign the petition.

Hence we request the authorities including the Chief Minister Mr Vijay Rupani to kindly pass a legal order to release the rent of retailers/shop renters having small capital business.

Gujarat having new cases daily and it’s understandable that it will continue with no known end date. It will inhibit small businesses from earning money but they have to keep their doors open, pay their bills, and handle other real estate obligations. We know this pandemic is going to have far reaching economic effects for businesses as well as individuals but small businesses are going to struggle to pay their shop rent without any monthly income.

The small business owner only has their shops as the source of income but for some shop owners, rent are not only the source of income, they have their other sources and investment to accommodate them.
