Seaside City Hall approved a Verizon 5G cell tower installation at our school site. If we don't STOP the installation of a 5G cell tower at our school, nearly 500 children will be exposed to harmful amounts of radiation, at durations of 4 to 10 hours a day, five days a week. We need your signature as part of an Objection Notification to Seaside City Hall that we do not consent to their approval of a Verizon cell tower near our school and the imminent harm it can inflict on our children.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Did you know that recently in Ripon, CA, a cell tower was installed near Weston Elementary School and that during the first three years, 4 teachers and 3 students were diagnosed with rare cancers, including two brain tumors, one liver and one kidney cancer? Seven people. The cell towers were within FCC regulations and still seven people developed cancer. Does this disturb you?
Since the late 1990's, scientists around the world have seen the exact same result, study after study: People who live within 500 meters of a cell tower experience much higher rates of cancer, type 2 diabetes, learning disabilities, hormonal dysfunction, DNA damage, and neurological disorders. This includes long-term, ten-year studies on adults, and two and six-year studies on school students who experienced impaired cognitive function, high occurrence of type 2 diabetes, and decreased thyroid, prolactin, and testerone hormone production. There is great concern by scientists and communities worldwide over 5G's use of the higher energy millimeter-wave radiation. The harmful effects of Electromagnetic Radiation are so frequent, prevalent, and well documented that a new term has entered our lexicon: Cancer Clusters. Let's make sure Monterey Bay Charter School does not become one of them.
THREE of the four approved Verizon cell towers are at Seaside schools. Hundreds more are planned after these first four. Although they've been "approved," they are not yet installed, so there is still time to stop this.
Otherwise, nearly 500 young children, ages 3 to 7, will be exposed to harmful and direct radiation at our school for 4 to 10 hours a day, five days a week. This includes our 308 Kindergarten and First Graders, plus 180 preschoolers of Seaside Child Center. Do you believe it is a basic human right for our children to be safe at school?

We need to apply pressure on the city council to create urgency ordinances that limit cell towers installations to no less than 750 meters away from of our schools and homes.
