The village of Atticall and surrounding area is set in the heart of the Mourne Mountains. We have no Play park  facilities for our young people as well as no footpaths or lighting within the Village. As a result of this it is preventing our community from walking safely on our country roads. 

Due to the COVID impact and severe social isolation in the area, it is clear that there is a need for the project we are planning for the area. We hope that this project will assist with both youth and adult well being as well as all of our other visitors and groups within our local area. 

We recognise the current problems relating to allowing people to access our local area to assist with their well being and their own mental health. Now more than ever we need to address the issues and work towards making the area as accessible and safe as possible for all the community. 

The project will include the development of a safe and secure 'Walking Trail' around our community grounds. This will encompass all of the pitches and community centre areas. The track will benefit all people of the community and allow access for groups as well as individual walkers both young and old. In particular we will be appealing to families and those with young children.

In order to assure the successful implementation of the project we need YOUR support. This can be done by simply signing up for our cause on this site. This is only the beginning of the plans we have in place to 'Make Atticall Great - Again!'
