Keep the “on-leash” rules, but add “off-leash” hours please..

Upon reflection and consideration of some of the feedback received from Glebe locals FB page, I propose changing the “on-leash only” sign to “off-leash between certain hours on weekdays” to allow for picnics/BBQ on weekends and playground for children’s school nearby. Even if the council doesn’t build a fence around the playground, I don’t believe there is a need to leash the dogs when nobody else is using the park. Let us all have equal rights and access to the park regardless of whether a person chooses to have a furbaby or a furless human child. Love is love and to support my argument I’m attaching the following article: “Science says: You love your dog as much as you love your kids”. Live and Let Live!
