We in our community are a little dismayed at the announcement of the closure of Brampton Bierlow Village Post Office, which has been earmarked for closure on 27th July 2024, seemingly without much consultation.  We are concerned for the elderly and the vulnerable and disabled in our community they would now have to travel by public transport to a neighbouring village 2 miles either way.  For some of these people, that is the absolute nightmare they don't need.  Some have complex needs and I would like to intervene,  being admin on our local community page and self advocate for people with Disabilities We are a strong mining community of the former Cortonwood pit, We Are Brampton.  Please we ask this needs looking at again under Disability Rights and The Equality Act herein.  We look forward to your response in this urgent matter.
