Imagine buying a dog to give him the love he deserves & IT ENDS UP DEAD TWO WEEKS LATER.. this is my story .. I bought a dog from CitipupNYC IN THE VILLAGE (45 Christopher st) on June 11 2022 and the first day I bought him home he started vomiting. I immediately called the hotline and they stated” he’s probably nervous “ he will feel better .. a couple days past by and he is vomiting like crazy and not really eating so I took him to their “vet” (heart of Chelsea) biggest mistake and they said he had hypoglycemia.. they gave him a shot to stop him from vomiting & three days I have to rush him to the emergency vet I found because he was not walking,he was bleeding internally ,not eating and he looked super weak. I IMMEDIATELY CALL THE HOTLINE & they said bring him to their store .. I said no I don’t trust y’all at this point.  THE EMERGENCY VET I FOUND RAN ALL THESE TESTS ON HIM & later told me he had anemia and had to get a blood transfusion & told me the shot they gave him that they did at the vet was done very harshly , he had warts on his belly that they never saw before & this dog was very sick . They also told me “the pet store sold you a sick dog and many times people come in here with the same issue”. I immediately had to spend 2k to get him the help he needed because I wanted my dog to have a chance at life. Unfortunately, the emergency vet I sent him to wanted to run more tests on him and it will be an additional 5k. I couldn’t afford this so I called the pet store and they said they will pick him up and transfer him to one of their affiliated hospitals (which they did) . From there on out things got worst.. my dog was suffering more and they kept offering me to get another dog . Why would I want another dog from you guys and you made me go through the worst experience I ever went through in my life. I will properly need therapy after this. The worst part of it all… yesterday (July 1)  they put my dog to sleep at 1152am and didn’t even tell me until …I called them . What type of people are you guys.. you could have let me know so I could say goodbye or be with him .. you people are evil and I wouldn’t not wish this on my worst enemy.

Why lie about a dogs health ?

Why lie and say he is perfectly healthy when he was not.. just to make some money .

I am traumatized and hurt about what I endure with this sweet puppy and will probably never get another dog because of Citipup.
