We are residents of the Kings Highway area in Osceola County, Florida, urging Osceola County officials to immediately close the newly opened road connecting the Kindred development to Kings Highway.

When we moved into our neighborhood, we were assured that Kings Highway would remain unconnected to other developments. However, the recent road connection from the Kindred development has caused a surge in cut-through traffic, increased speeding, and created a serious safety hazard.

Tragically, a woman was recently struck and killed by a vehicle on Kings Highway — the first such fatality in over 30 years. We believe the increased traffic flow due to this connection contributed to this heartbreaking incident.

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that Osceola County:

1. Review the approval process and transparency of this road connection.

2. Evaluate the safety impact of the increased traffic volume and speed.

3. Take action to close or block the Kindred connection to Kings Highway before more lives are put at risk.

Our community deserves safe streets, peaceful neighborhoods, and to have our voices heard. Please help us restore safety and peace to Kings Highway.
