In Canada, a significant wage gap exists between men and women. Despite the fact that women make up nearly half of the workforce, they earn on average 89 cents for every dollar earned by men (Statistics Canada). This disparity is not only unfair but also detrimental to our economy. By closing the gender wage gap, we can promote equality and boost economic growth.
