Seven months after the wildfire, the Pacific Palisades Bowl is still a toxic disaster site. The debris hasn’t been cleared, the air and soil are contaminated, and nearly 400 of us remain displaced — paying rent we can’t afford with no clear timeline for return.
That’s why SB 749 matters now more than ever. This bill protects mobile home park residents across California after disasters:
If a park is rebuilt, management must offer a renewed tenancy to all previous homeowners on substantially the same terms as before.
Previous homeowners don’t pay rent while displaced and must receive the same notices as current residents.
These protections are critical to ensure survivors aren’t permanently pushed out and replaced.
📢 What you can do right now:
Sign the petition if you haven’t already.
Share it with friends, family, and neighbors.
Tell your lawmakers you support SB 749.
The more voices we have, the harder it will be for anyone to weaken these protections. Let’s keep pushing so we can rebuild and return home — and so no other mobile home community in California suffers like this again.
