This vet practise is known for neglect. 
They are not compassionate and are leaving animals in pain worry about money and charging obscene amount of payments. 
I will leave my story below 

Monday 22nd of august rubie collapsed around 11pm at night. 
She’s seemed off it all day but as the day went was fine. I managed to get her up and comfortable. Tuesday morning she was fine again. In the garden going to the toilet. By 10am she had lost all her vision.
By 12pm she could no longer walk because of her left side. It was like she had a stroke all throughout her left side and could no longer use it. 
At 1.45pm I contacted the ‘wonderful’ toll bar vets. 
Was told they had no one available to see rubie and we would have to wait till the next day. 
So I came away. 
By 3pm she was worse. She was breathing funny. Couldn’t stop panting. Would hardly drink and was taking tiny pieces of mince. 
I contacted toll bar vets back and was told she would put the vet on to speak to me as there was nothing and no one available. 
I explained I thought rubie was going through hell and she was passing away. Slowly. She was in so much pain. She was so sad. 
He told me I needed to stop being stupid. My dog had a skin condition and she would be absolutely fine and started shouting at me down the phone. He has better things to do with his time than see an animal that nothing was wrong with 
I told him not to speak to me that way, to just look at my rubie and tell me that after just seeing her. 
He had another go and transferred me back to reception. 
I explained what had happened over the phone with the vet. They said they were sorry to fetch her straight down and to wait to be seen. Management would cover the bill and we would come to some sort of arrangement regarding what to do next. 

So we jumped straight in the car and went straight down. 
While there there was absolutely no one in the vets after he said he had back to back appointments and didn’t have time to see her with a surgery full. 
It was empty. But I let that slide and continued to get rubie the help she needed. 
He finally called us in after being sat for around 25minutes in the waiting area. 
He said there wasn’t much we could do to help rubie. Some of the times steroids could help and pain relief but nothing more. 
He disappeared and came back with two syringes
One was a steroid and the other was a pain relief.
We left and went home. 
We booked rubie in a 3pm the next day (wednesday) to be put to sleep if nothing worked. 
Wednesday morning after a long night she started standing a little again. Nothing much and her eyesight was completely gone but she did go for a wee once. 
We had a long stressful day tears and lots of cuddles. 
3pm came and me and my mum went to the vets. Was told to fetch her in etc. just before that was told I owed £167 from the day before. I chocked. 
No I didn’t. I owed nothing from the day before because I was told management would cover it. 
But dispite this this wasn’t even the worst to come. 
The vet told me to argue about the payment after we ‘sorted rubie’ to fetch her through the back to insert a cannula. 
All I cared about was making sure rubie was comfortable and happy. 
While me and mum was comforting and making sure rubie was happy in the last minutes she had. 
A ‘non compassionate’ silly ‘management’ not ‘management’ women walked in because she wouldn’t admit it. Telling me they wasn’t helping rubie until I paid h to is payment from yesterday. I explained what was said the day prior and without that. 
No one said anything the day prior to this money being owed. No one contacted me to say any monies were owed and nobody said a Dahm this the whole time I was there the day prior. 
So we said are you going to help rubie. 
She said yes. I explained to get the vet then and help my dog. It’s hard enough we are loosing her and now you want to have a ridiculous argument about money. 
Which isn’t outstanding. 
Bearing in mind we have been at this vet around 18years and never owed a penny. 
She came back in told me there’s nothing there willing to do and we needed to pay or leave. So I picked rubie up and we was leaving to find someone who could help her. It was no way for her to live. She was so scared and in pain. 
As we was walking out of the door. She laughed at us. She literally laughed. 
My mum turned around and said ‘ you have absolutely no compassion and now you have the audacity to laugh in our faces’ 
She said are you going to let us help your dog or not. 
We stated we didn’t have any issues regarding them helping we wanted her to get the help she needed. 
And then she said ‘your gonna have to pay that money first’ I always stated I wanted to pay for rubies help on that day first if that’s what they needed. Not a problem. 
We went to the car to try and phone round to see if anyone could help or if we could get some sort of booking to make it easier for her. 
They then came back outside saying ‘are we going to sort something out’ 
We stated we have been messed around enough. We’ve argued rubies point enough. We are not willing to come back inside and you argue with us again because of this money that isn’t outstanding. I’m not doing it to rubie she’s crying in the back of my car sad and scared and they just watched her and laughed at us. Made remarks they denied. 
Not one person had any type of compassion for my dog. 
We was not willing to be messed around and hurt by this place any longer. Rubie deserved better. 
Then they had the audacity to cry. Try telling us we didn’t care. 
We asked them to leave us alone and go away. They had no reason to come outside and reignite the situation we just wanted to leave and find someone who was willing to help us. 
I contacted a few places and managed to get in with Doncaster pet clinic in Edenthorpe for 11am the next day. 
We got home and made rubie comfortable for her last night. The best outcome of this is to have another final night with her. 
Then the vets had the audacity to phone the police. 
They came to my house and stated ‘the vets have said they have a duty of care would we like to take her back’ 
Dahm right not. Go there and be asked for a payment. Go there and be pushed back out because they won’t help. I wasn’t willing to put rubie through that. 
The police even stated. All they did was laugh about us and ‘slag’ us off. 
It’s ridiculous that an establishment regarding animals can be so cruel and disgusting. 
They went on there way and told us not to take any notice and to do what we needed to. Arundell Veterinary Care Arundell Vet Care

Thursday came and we made our way to the clinic. 
They were amazing. 
They offered help and support. 
They offered to make rubie comfortable and gave her all the love in the world. 
The Doncaster Pet Clinic Ltdwas absolutely amazing and I wouldn’t recommend a vet practise to anyone any quicker. 
There was no rush to get us out. There was no excuses. She couldn’t stop kissing my dog when she needed love.

Toll bar vets. I won’t stop till you are closed. Till you and the rest of your staff see the error of your ways and you no longer have any practises. My dog isn’t the only animal you have let down.
