Guitar Center locations across the United States are not closing amidst the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. There are about 300 Guitar Center stores across the country. This is extremely irresponsible of Guitar Center and dangerous to our communities while the virus continues to spread. By not closing this nonessential retail store, this company is putting the health and lives of each of their employees, customers and the community at risk. 

   Each store across the country is very low on or completely out of cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, and hand soap. These products have not been available to employees and customers while they are in the stores. Items for sale around each store are constantly touched by employees and customers all day, everyday. Employees and customers share the same bathrooms. All employees and customers of Guitar Center are at a very high risk of exposure, which can and will be passed on to other people. COVID-19 is a domino effect. This virus will continue to spread because of companies like Guitar Center not closing their non essential stores. Guitar Center is choosing profit over their own employees’ and customers’ health and lives. They are one of the last nonessential companies to close their doors.

   

   Guitar Center is doing nothing to help stop the pandemic. But you can help and stop their stores from continuing to stay open, which will help to stop the spread of COVID-19.
