Bring Back Kosher Hot Dogs To Indians Games At Progressive Field

Glatt Kosher hot dogs under Rabbinical supervision have been available at Indians home games since 1998.

With more than 80,000 Jews making their home in Greater Cleveland and a rapidly growing Orthodox community, the glatt kosher hot dog stand has attracted and created a generation of kosher observant Tribe fans. It also demonstrated the Indians' commitment to diversity of different communities.

Sadly, negotiations between Delaware North (The provider of concessions at Progressive Field) and Cleveland Kosher broke down over a dispute of a slight increase in the hourly rate needed to make Rabbinical supervision of the stand viable. The 2019 season began with news that the kosher stand would not operate under Rabbinical supervision, rendering the stand not acceptable to kosher consumers.

While it's true that you can bring in your own food to Indians games, this simply doesn't compare to being able to enjoy a freshly grilled hot dog at a game.

Personally, I have cancelled my Indians season tickets over the cancellation of the kosher hot dog stand.

To the Cleveland Indians, please find a way to bring back the glatt kosher hot dog stand under Rabbinical supervision. Cleveland's Jewish community loves being part of the Tribe and having kosher food will mean more fans attending and enjoying Indians baseball.
