Preserve Old Sheldon Church

Preserve Old Sheldon Church
The Issue
Help preserve our Sacred Church from Government Confiscation. Because vandals, intruders and thieves have hampered our work, they want to rip our Church away from us. Will you help us? Read more below and tell Government to keep your hands off our Religion, 1st, 4th and 5th Amendment rights.
While I ask you to sign the petition, if you feel in your heart this cause is just, whatever you choose to offer, I deeply thank you and will personally say a prayer in your name.

My heart was ripped out when I read the article of the woman, who also
started a Change.org petition to take Old Sheldon from us and turn it
over to the government.

While I was angry, I stopped and let Christ fill my heart and think how
he would want me to act, not react. So below is my response I posted to
her. I hope I expressed His love and mine as well.
Anyway, here is my response I posted on her article.
God bless you and stay strong in faith.

Hana,
While your altruistic heart may seem to be in the right place, regrettably, you are trampling upon our faith, devotion, religious liberty and property rights of our parishioners of the Parish of St. Helena's.
In the past, our generous wish to share the beauty of Old Sheldon Church, spreading the word of Jesus and the Gospel, we left the property open to visitors. In return, not only have the graves of our members been trampled with headstones uprooted and broken, bricks been vandalized, stolen and sold on eBay. Photo shoots, tour groups and marriages which were not Church authorized, have halted restoration and maintenance of the property. Worse, in this sacred church, a female
model posed topless, in complete blasphemy to our faith.
The only marriages authorized to be performed on these precious grounds are that of our parishioners. Yet, unauthorized photo shoots, marriages and tour groups have continued to trample upon these grounds. They do so, without notifying our Parish Offices or paying our required fees for these events, despite signs conspicuously displayed.
If you are truly concerned about the preservation of Old Sheldon Church, rather than helping to STEAL our property, history and stifling our faith, (Yes, we still hold services on the property) with your Change.org campaign, you may consider altering it to raise money to donate to The Parish of St. Helena with the stipulation that the money is to go directly to the preservation only. Mind you, I am not asking you for money, but offering an idea on how you can help preserve these wonderful grounds, if that is your true purpose.
Only we, the members of St. Helena's can better express our history, love for members buried on the grounds and our religious faith at Old Sheldon Church, than at the hands of government. Those who scream separation of Church and State, would agree with us on this vital issue.
I ask you, to look deep into your heart and ask if you really want to rip away from us an important part of our heritage and deep religious faith. Depriving us of this sacred church at which we worship. Or, do you truly want to help us repair and preserve this wonderful part of our history and our hearts? What will your answer be? I pray that it is the latter. If so, I ask you to change you change or delete your petition. Help us to do the work. Only we, not strangers or government, can lovingly do these repairs and preservation for our ancestors, our parishioners and help to offer once again the opening of our sacred grounds to all in the future.
