As “Thanksgiving" Day is fast approaching, I can’t help but to think of my brother, Robert who has spent the past 21 Thanksgivings behind prisons walls for 5 months involvement in a nonviolent drug conspiracy. Though, I have much to be thankful for, I would be even more thankful for the day that justice is served for my brother and the thousands of people serving unjust sentences for nonviolent drug crimes. On Thanksgiving, may I please have a plate of justice, compassion, and clemency for my brother?
