According to ComScore, during the 2011 holiday season Americans spent "nearly $32 billion in online purchases, marking a 15-percent increase versus the corresponding days last year." When a consumer purchases a product in a retail store they can easily see if the product is made in America by looking on the box or a clothing tag. However, when purchasing products through online retailers, like Amazon.com, it is almost impossible, to determine where a product is made.

Many consumers prefer to purchase products that are made exclusively in America to support American jobs and our economy. With more and more sales occurring online, we need online retailers, like Amazon.com, to clearly mark products that are manufactured in America. If online retailers, like Amazon.com, make it easy to shop for products that are made in America, the consumers in America will make the right choice!
