Bring back the Sunday Night Oldies Show with Tony Sandoval!!
The Issue
Tony Sandoval has been the bay area's Sunday Night Oldies Show host for over 15 years now. Recently 98.1 Kiss FM had changed its programming format and cut the Sunday night oldies show. They have also changed their name to 98.1 the breeze and changed their whole music program. Even though this change has really upset the San Francisco Bay area. The biggest upset was that we lost our Sunday night Oldies show with Tony Sandoval. I know iheart radio is a corporation and probably has no idea what this show has done for our community or maybe they don't even care about the bay area residents. But Through tony's oldies show he has united the bay area, northern california and listeners all across the world. His show has helped those with the joy and pain of love. Many have grown up on his show dedicating that perfect love song to their first girlfriend/ boyfriend, that song for their first break-up. That song to dedicate for the newlyweds who just married or to wish a happy 25th anniversary to that special couple. Songs played for loved ones we lost. Or songs played to brighten your evening. There is nothing like kicking back on a Sunday evening listening to the Oldies. Whether you are cruising around playing them in your car or at home tuned in. And when you didn't know what song and you just needed to vent about your problems Tony would listen and play that perfect oldie. Through his show he healed and connected the community. He put his heart and soul into the Sunday night oldies show and that could be felt throughout the bay. Something that this day and age we lack. Radio has become so robotic and lacking in substance, that many have turned off mainstream radio and found alternate forms of music. But the Sunday night oldies was the one night we'd still tune in to listen to our friend Tony Sandoval, through the airwaves he has entered our homes and hearts and has become family. So we ask and beg that iheart radio for once listen to the community and bring us back our "Sunday night Oldies Show with Tony Sandoval".. anyone supporting this please leave your stories so that iheart radio sees how much tony's Sunday night oldies show means to us and our lives.
