UIUC students are lucky enough to benefit from an incredibly bike-friendly campus, which has made biking one of the most common ways to get to class. Unfortunately, a lack of maintenance and presence of private companies have made parking bikes more and more difficult. The notorious "VEO" bikes take up parking spots for bikes, damage the infrastructure, and often harm the environment due to not being put away properly. The campus community should not sacrifice access to the bike racks for the benefit of a private company.
