We, the undersigned, respectfully submit this petition in support of Mr. Mitch McIntosh, who has served Classen School of Advanced Studies with dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment for many years. As the most tenured and experienced administrator currently associated with Classen, Mr. McIntosh has earned the respect and admiration of both staff and students. His deep understanding of the school’s unique culture, climate, and expectations has made him an invaluable part of the Classen community.

Classen is not a typical high school—it is a specialized environment built around the rigorous IB and VPA programs, both of which require leaders who fully understand the demands, structure, and purpose of these pathways. Mr. McIntosh has consistently demonstrated the knowledge, experience, and compassion necessary to support these programs and the students they serve.

It is deeply concerning to learn that Mr. McIntosh has been removed from Classen and reassigned to an alternative setting that presents significantly different challenges and requires a background in working with high-disruption environments. This reassignment does not reflect his strengths, experience, or the needs of Classen SAS. We believe this decision is a mistake and is detrimental both to Mr. McIntosh and to the school community he has served so effectively.

For these reasons, we respectfully request that Mr. McIntosh be reinstated at Classen School of Advanced Studies and that administrative assignments be reconsidered to ensure that staff are placed in roles aligned with their training, tenure, and experience.
