Scott Walker has been the principal at Las Vegas Academy for 9 years. During this time, students have been affected by innumerable opportunities to excel in their chosen majors. Also during this time, the graduation rate at LVA has increased to 100% for the past several years.

Students thrive in an atmosphere of acceptance and kindness among their peers. There are ample resources provided to all students, regardless of background, race, or gender orientation to help with mental, educational and emotional well-being.

Every decision he has made in his tenure has been 100% student-focused. He has worked to bring in the best resources and educators for the students at LVA. And he has been a fierce and consistent advocate for living life in the LVA Way.

Unfortunately, it is no secret that there has been one department that has struggled in the past few years. Principal Walker's efforts to bring this department back up to expected standards have been handled as swiftly and confidentially as possible and appropriate.

The purpose of this petition is to show that just a few disgruntled individuals with ties to certain departments do not reflect the experience of the vast majority of the students, families and alumni of the wonderful school that is Las Vegas Academy.
