Clark Atlanta University Should Switch to Online Classes until Further Notice | COVID19
The Issue
Amidst the growing COVID-19 (Corona Virus) pandemic, student’s such as myself who attend Clark Atlanta, as well as Morehouse and Spelman College feel unsafe about returning to class next week. Especially after Fulton County just closed it’s schools yesterday due to a faculty member testing positive for the corona virus. Safety should be the number one concern of these historically Black Institutions. So with that being said, our institutions should be shutdown until further notice. Online classes will suffice until the outbreak is contained and no longer a threat to Clark Atlanta, Spelman or Morehouse. Please sign and share with your friends and loved ones! Be safe.
Message from a parent:
”Interesting POV, my son is student At Clark and we live in Virginia I am extremely concerned about his travel back to school. Considering Atlanta International Airport is huge. According to CDC Atlanta has 18 cases confirmed. Colleagues from Columbia and New York University have moved classes to online. Massachusetts have only 10 more cases than Atlanta and many of their institutions have moved to online learning. Connecticut only have “1-5 cases“ reported and they have moved to online education. Why aren’t institutions in the Atlanta area not taking the proper measures for their students... disturbing... Continue the good fight!”
lets make the AUC safe as can be, not just for students but for everybody.
