We citizens of Minnesota hereby petition Senator Al Franken to rescind your intention to resign from the US Senate pending a full investigation of charges against you by the Senate Ethics Committee.  We believe you are wrong in suggesting our intetests are best served by your resignation.  On the contrary, our interests are best served by getting to the truth.  Your accusers must be listened to, but so must you, in a fair and open process.  You should not be driven from the Senate by colleagues whose primary concern appears to be political expediency, rather than our interests as Minnesota citizens.
