Following the recent outbreak of Corona Virus, there has been an increasing concern and confusion from City University students - including Representatives and Student Ambassadors - with regards (but not limited to) the following issues:

1. Concern for their Personal Health & Safety 

2. Concern for their Friends & Family Members 

3. Concern for the Academic Impact 

The issues above have evidently caused an increasing number of students to not attend lectures and tutorials, prefering instead to stay at home or in some cases, leave the country.

The World Health Organization has already declared the virus to be a Pandemic, and we must therefore, encourage our university to take measures (as other neighbouring universities have) to respond to the virus and protect the wellbeing of Students & Staff Members. 

The Measures include (but are not limited to):

1. Temporarily closing the university 

2. Extending Coursework & Dissertation Deadlines 

3. Waiver Attendance

4. Provide Online Classes 

These concerns and measures have become the topic of discussion amongst many City Univeristy students, and it is now time for us to act to proactively and not wait until the situation escalates.
