The city of Worcester may or may not have by laws in place to limit the number of cats a person is allowed to own. They have not been able to show me where this law exists in the by laws. There are dog laws but not cat laws. They brought me to court for cats in excess and the judge gave me until 10/30/19 to place all but 2 cats. I am a 501c3 non profit who is approved by the federal and state governing bodies. I have 25 resident cats that are special needs as well as cats and kittens available for adoption. 

The law that they presented me that was written by someone holding a position that no longer exists and it states that person holding said position has the right to decide who can and cant have dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and birds over a certain number. That position doesnt exist so there is no recompense. 

If this law exists it should be amended or gotten rid of and rewritten to have available options. 

It specifically talks about kennel licensure for cats. This does not exist. 

Please help us change this supposed law. 

We will be at the city councel meeting September 3 at city hall. The mtg is at 630 pm but show up early to try to speak with the mayer.
