The city of Worcester has a law that bans all dogs (not service dogs) from all of the city's public parks. I have watched many people enjoying our parks with their pets. This law only makes the parks less enjoyable for a lot of people. Instead of a total ban on dogs the city's lawmakers and police, should enforce the already in place leash laws and clean up laws. I have never witnessed or heard of these being enforced much, if, at all. The city has one dog park. It is near Paxton. Let's overturn this ridiculous law and enforce the laws already on the books. I have a feeling this law is for those reasons anyway, or simply as another cash grab. The police are out vigorously ticketing. No warnings and no visible advance notice from the city, to me, means cash grab.
