For 27 years, the statue on Pennsylvania Ave of Christopher Columbus has been a depiction of a horrifying past glamorizing and glorifying a part of history that should NOT be celebrated in our City of Wilmington and throughout Delaware. 

Celebrating Christopher Columbus is Celebrating Genocide. 

This petition serves as an unified message proclaiming that we stand and demand respect in the proper removal of a symbol of HATE. The proposed deadline July 4th, 2020. 

Our communities should be a microcosm of LOVE. Where children and adults alike get enriched in history that emboldens a community coming together as ONE.
