Many people are aware that a 12 year old pedestrian was hit by a car on June 25th as she was crossing 4th St SW near the intersection of 7th Ave SW in Waverly. Her mom has been in touch with the city to advocate for a crosswalk at that intersection, but is not making progress. This is a busy crossing for kids on their way to the city pool, ball fields, skate park, public restrooms, and Kid's Kingdom park. No family should have to endure the heartache this family is going through right now. #IncredibleIzzy is our neighbor and dear friend. She goes to school with your kids at WSR Middle School. Her mom interacts with your kids as a school district librarian. All of us are impacted by this. Let's make this crossing safe for our kids!
