Our current City Council is trying to close and demolish the Alteri Pool at the Fairgrounds. This is a long term solution to a short term problem. The city taxpayers have paid for this pool and invested in the infrastructure and should not have a perfectly good asset taken away from them. The pool could be functional now, although it is due for some routine maintenance, this maintenance would be cheaper than the cost of demolition, not to mention the idea of replacing it with a costly splash pad. This city is desperately in need of activities for all children and this pool is the most widely used by the community! City council, please don’t tear our city down when you are tasked with building it up! Please sign and say NO to the closing and demolition of the Alteri Pool or any of the pools!
