Urban renewal made a devastating impact on American cities, and Tulsa was no different. Today presents an oppurtunity to correct some of these mistakes to promote economic development and rebuild communities. Currently, the Oklahoma Department of Transporation plans to reconstruct two sections of freeway the encircle downtown Tulsa. Our organizations goal is reallot these funds and reconstruct these two corridors into complete streets, effectively opening over 50 acres of land for new mixed-use development on the land that is currently occupied by the freeways. 

This proposal is currently submitted for the Vision2025 capital improvements pacakage as the City of Tulsa is looking for "game changing" ideas. The more people who voice their opinions for better development in Tulsa will influence a better future for our city.
