Hello Everyone!

It has come to our attention that the City of Temecula is utilizing Roundup Custom (made by Monsanto) for the city's weed abatement program. This product is being sprayed in parks, neighborhoods, gutters, roadways, schools, and more. This product has been linked to cancer and can cause a wide variety of reproductive harm and environmental damage. When asked about the safety of this product, the response was as follows:

"Mr. Johnson,

In reviewing the manufacturer's application specifications, the applications shown in your pictures appear to be consistent with the allowable uses of the product. The material is actually intended for aquatic applications. I have attached for your review the specifications for the product, and if you read Section 8, you will note the allowable aquatic applications.

Based on the review of the specifications, I do not see any inconsistencies with the City's use of the product."

Per the city, they are not worried about this dangerous product.

Did you know that household vinegar can kill weeds as well? Something that is safe and natural is not being used while a dangerous chemical is being sprayed all over our city.

Our tax dollars pay for this! We have a right to decide what should be used in our city! We have a right not to pay the price for using this dangerous chemical! We have a right to decide what our children are exposed to! Please, we URGE the city to consider banning all use of the Roundup Custom product as well as all other Monsanto products and switch to an all-natural and environmentally friendly alternative!
