As the population and economy of the Metro Vancouver region grow, residents and businesses depend on services such as manufacturing, warehousing distribution, and repair, while providing connection to the port and cross border trade.  Equally important is ensuring that industrial activities remain viable and can expand within the geographical location, rather than having to move to other municipalities. Industrial lands are crucial to supporting a prosperous and sustainable economy, and have important linkages with employment, transportation and taxation matters in this region.

Having the opportunity to provide an additional 300 acres of employment land through the Campbell Heights South Land Use Plan, while protecting the Little Campbell Creek watershed , is important for the City of Surrey and Metro Vancouver region.  This is imperative to Surrey's growth and competitiveness in the region, and is an opportunity for Surrey to strengthen and grow its employment lands.  As important for business, these lands generate a significant amount of employment for Surrey residents.

Please approve the Campbell Heights Land Use Plan to support the growth for business in the region, and to provide more employment for Surrey residents.  Let's make Surrey the best place to live AND work
