There is a council meeting on Monday, June 1st @ 7pm. Patty Rathmacher will be addressing the council with some information, data, and insight on the direction other communities are taking. We are hopeful the council will reconsider, but we need your help:
• Please share the petition via social media, email, or text to friends/family/neighbors. The more we talk to people, we realize many were unaware that the meeting to decide on the opening of the pool had already taken place, and were surprised to hear the pool was to be closed for the entirety of the 2020 season. Please spread the word! It would be great to reach 500 signatures by Monday.
• If you are interested in being apart of the council meeting we would LOVE for you to tune in, or better yet, call in and share your thoughts in a respectful, educated way. The more voices, the better! To do so...

Again, we know the pool season will not look like it typically does, and extra restrictions are being asked of the staff from the Governor’s office. Please be kind & understand that the city officials have very difficult decisions to make. Our hope is to open under current CDC guidelines, and to continue to lift restrictions as Iowa moves in the direction of opening up safely.
