Today, while I was at the park with my young daughters, my little girl walked right up to a gardener who was spraying Roundup Weed killer. There were no signs to warn that herbicides were being sprayed and it was being sprayed all over Hedgeley Dene Gardens in East Malvern where many children play, dogs are walked and new ducklings have just hatched. 

Roundup has been linked to many health conditions. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared that it probably causes cancer. 

Many countries have already banned Roundup. Europe has minimised its use in public parks and playgrounds whilst they investigate further. 

There are many other herbicides that are safer for animals and humans. They are also less damaging to the environment. 

Please City of Stonnington, stop using Roundup Weed killer in our Parks.
