Dear Supporters,
Yesterday an article posted (read the full article here) summarizing a new lawsuit filed by the developer and property owner against the city of Springboro. I hope the city will fight this lawsuit for their residents with the same fortitude they displayed in their unanimous rejection of the rezoning.
Some of the words in this lawsuit further drives home yesterday's update about the importance of providing input to shape the next iteration of the land use plan. As future developers come to Springboro, the land use plan is the guide book and it typically defines the city's vision for the character the city, specifically through specifying the type of development (including density, number of stories, preferred uses, preferred open space, etc) in different policy areas.
In short, if you signed this petition and care about how the development of Easton Farm will impact the city, you should care about the land use plan because it'll define the vision for this policy area and all policy areas throughout the city that will guide future development. Please take the time to review the resources below and reach out to the city planner, Dan Boron (danb@cityofspringboro.com) and copy city council (council@cityofspringboro.org), preferably by 7 NOV (you can send in later, but it won't be there in time for the 9 NOV meeting).
Thank you!
