This is perhaps the last round of community ShapeSSF meetings that will shape the future of SSF for not only the next 20 years, but a life time.

LET'S BE PART OF THE CENSUS COUNT THROUGH OUR VOICES

Now is the time to advocate for sensible land use that affect services and programs needed in our communities by the transformation into industrial to biotech capital of the world and request for Impact Fees collected by city of SSF to be invested into neighborhoods that have mostly been negatively affected by the welcoming of biotech industry into SSF.

It is also the time to continue to advocate for the preservation of historical Old Town. Once land use history is altered, it will never be restored especially in área that is unique and under appreciated for its rich history and value.

The areas mostly affected are areas of Old Town, Downtown, Pecks Lot, Hillside, Linden/Railroad and Spruce Avenue due to their proximity to East of 101.

The CENSUS asks for every citizen to be counted. A major component of that count is having a VOICE. If funds are to be collected on our BEHALF through the Census, then, we need to have an equal voice for needed services and programs and to raise concerns of how high rise buildings will further impact the community with added traffic, congestion, and air pollution and cause gentrification. There are better uses of available land that will benefit community that has been overseen, with acute needs for parks, community resources and informational hub, and recreational and educational opportunities for youth.

Affordable housing does not equate to low price housing for affordability for SSF residents and our children.
