Sioux Center doesn’t have a safe space for dogs to play and exercise off leash. A dog park would be a great attraction for current and future residents of Sioux Center who are dog owners, as we currently have to travel to neighboring towns. Having a dog park would allow dogs to be off leash in a contained space without risk of interacting with people who are afraid of dogs or vehicles on the roadway.  

We’d like to work with the City of Sioux Center to create a park that caters to our furry friends. Sioux Center has done a great job creating space for kids, soccer fields, the potential indoor turf arena, etc, and we’d like to encourage the City to also create a space for pets. I’ve been told by a city employee that starting a petition to show interest is the best way to start - sign to show your support for a dog park in Sioux Center!
