Breed specific legislation does not keep people or dogs from harm. It is not about the breed, it is about the owner and breed specific legislation tries to make dogs adhere to human laws that they are not capable of adhering to. It also loops ALL dogs together, even when they are the most behaved and trained animal. My city is considering putting a ban on Pit Bulls with only one person voicing a prejudice concern. We cannot let this happen. These dogs are parts of our family, they protect and love our children and they help us as individuals with medical conditions. We need to stand up for our dogs and fight for them!
