This petition is to help protect marine mammals (specifically sea lions) at Pier 39 in San Francisco. Through the elimination of plastics and other materials around the pier, littering, or feeding the animals, we can help improve the lives of sea lions and marine mammals.

This petition calls for the increased fine of littering around potential zones that could harm sea lions (such as areas near the pier, where litter can easily reach the animals). Items include plastics, such as single-use water bottles, plastic straws, bags, etc. In addition, a more severe fine should be given to people that feed the sea lions because of the harmful consequences it can have on the animals.
