Build Battle Creek Disc Golf Course

The proposed site for Battle Creek DGC will be the City of Salem’s newly acquired property in South Salem on Commercial Rd S. The Battle Creek Park location offers acres of diverse recreational opportunities. By incorporating walking trails and maintaining the natural green areas provided within a disc golf course, valuable recreational opportunities for all ages will be added for the community in the surrounding neighborhoods and for visitors alike.

Battle Creek Park offers close proximity to I-5, offering an easy commute for traveling disc golfers. The course can be designed to fit into the existing or even add to the natural beauty of the area. Trees and other natural landscaping can be added as the parks group sees fit.

Disc golf is an incredibly addictive game that can be played by anyone who can throw a disc. The sport provides a fun and challenging outdoor activity that tests a player’s mental skills of concentration, focus and patience. Elementary schools, junior highs, high schools and College campuses are all seeing a growth in the popularity of the sport. Disc golf provides low-impact exercise that requires focus on mental strategy and provides an avenue for people of every skill level to play together. In addition to offering a fun activity, educational facilities are introducing the sport into the curriculum with an emphasis on physical fitness, ecology and mental planning.
