Kerri Asbury, chairwoman of the Democratic Party of Sacramento County, told The Sacramento Bee on October 13th that she thinks Johnson should resign so that “the focus returns to the city’s needs and not more reports of impropriety.”

Asbury is correct. 

For reasons too grotesque to repeat here, and for even more which include his inability to put the needs of the residents of the city of Sacramento before his personal and political ambitions, Kevin Johnson should do the honorable thing and resign from office immediately.
