Sachse City Council recently voted to change the Pleasant Valley Road speed limit from 45 to 30 MPH beginning on January 25, 2016. The Sachse City Council based the decision on roadway condition and safety. Our supporters were not aware of the plan to change and that was led by another citizen group.   We did not see notices posted in the neighborhood as have been done in the past for zoning changes. Our supporters feel the 30 MPH limit is extremely low for this type of road and is already becoming a speed trap.   We are requesting the  City of Sachse reverse the speed limit change from 30 MPH to 45 MPH, or to change to 40 MPH as recommended in a Speed Study by the staff in December 2015. It is already a SPEED TRAP.  Neighbors are reporting police giving tickets daily. We request that the City of Sachse Mayor, Council, Engineer and Manager add the topic for discussion at a future council meeting.
