My husband was hit and killed by a moving vehicle on Beach st. and S. Alpine in Rockford, IL on April 2nd at approximately 8:45pm. This is not the first or the last incident that has taken place in this area. There are street light fixtures here, but the lights are not working. This area needs the lights turned on (fixed) and more lights need to be added. It is very dark in the area. It’s across the street from a shopping center and our neighborhood has kids present as well. If we had lights there it is a possibility my husband would still be here. Justin would walk across this street on a daily to go work out at the planet fitness etc.  He leaves behind me and 4 children. Please sign the petition if you agree to get lighting in the area.
