Currently the city of Rockford is looking to build and bring new business to our region, which is beneficial to the citizens and other businesses of Rockford and the surrounding areas. We have everything from restaurants like Chili's, Olive Garden and Chipotle to fitness places, shopping destinations and the like.

Being somewhere in the lower middle class financially, the citizens of Rockford can't really afford to shop at posh and expensive places but that's just what these people want to spend valuable resources bringing in; high end stores like Nordstrom's have been discussed and brought to the public's attention through newscasts.

Why not listen to the people that LIVE in and around the Rockford area and bring in something that could be more beneficial to their health, well-being and wallet like a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's?

As of right now, the nearest Whole Foods and/or Trader Joe's is nearly 70 miles away so why not bring something a little closer to home?

Whole foods/Trader Joe's can do so much more for this community than bringing in a Nordstrom's. Not only will these businesses bring in more job possibilities and revenue for Rockford, but they'll bring in healthy eating options and education on things like organics, free-range, community support and so much more!

Rockford needs to start taking care of their own people's well being while looking out for the city itself! We need to bring the healthy-living movement closer to home!
