Over the course of 2018 alone, the amount of incidents where a member of our police service was left with the decision to shoot a civilian's dog has been substantial. This petition is to grab the attention of our city council who may be able to make changes in how our Police Officers are trained to deal with such a dangerous situation and ensure they are provided the proper material (tranquilizer equipment) to not only perform their duty safely for themselves and others, but ensure that the animal in question is still left with it's life.
