STOP rezoning efforts which will create even more traffic and less safety.
The Issue
Pulte Homes is planning to build a townhome community on a 35-acre parcel of land that fronts on heavily congested Page Road between TW Alexander and Globe Road. The developer is applying to the City of Raleigh to increase the zoning from the current R-6 (6 units per acre) to R-10 (10 units per acre), which will result in significantly more dwelling units and traffic volume on this already congested road.
Such a rezoning will create more dangerous conditions on Page Road and in our surrounding neighborhoods, impacting the safety of our loved ones, our children, our pets. If rezoning is approved, this 35-acre townhome community would be located at 2751 Page Road between the already developed Trivium at Brier Creek and Regency at Brier Creek Country Club.
In 2005, the City of Raleigh determined that multi-family units would not be allowed in an R6 zone as it would affect population density and in new and existing communities and increase surrounding traffic. Join us by signing this petition to let the Raleigh City Council know that the same logic applies even more today.
