Rename Community Foundation Park in Prince George After Legendary Resident, Jim Terrion!

Rename Community Foundation Park in Prince George After Legendary Resident, Jim Terrion!
The Issue
Jim Terrion is a hero. This difference-making Prince George resident has raised over $800,000.00 for The Terry Fox Foundation.
Let's show how proud we are of Jim and all of his accomplishments by re-naming Community Foundation Park after him. This park is the home of the Terry Fox Statue in Prince George and we firmly believe the park should be re-named "Jim Terrion Park."
In 1990, at age 29, Jim Terrion walked across Canada in honour of his hero Terry Fox to raise money and awareness for the deaf and hearing-impaired, specifically to help stage the 12th World Winter Games for the Deaf to be held in Calgary.
Now, 30 years later, Jim is still raising significant amounts of money and awareness for The Terry Fox Foundation. Each year, he personally visits every business and residence in Prince George to collect pledges for the Terry Fox Run.
Jim's enthusiasm and energy are contagious and he has raised over $800,000 in support of cancer research. Jim is a loved and respected member of the Prince George community and has come to be expected knocking on doors with a “big smile and pledge sheet in hand”.
